Referral Program Terms

These Referral Program Terms (the "Referral Terms") govern the SwingMatch referral program, "Give $50, Get $100" (the "Program"), operated by SwingMatch Golf Inc. ("SwingMatch", "we", "us" or "our"). They are Additional Terms under Section 6 of our Website Terms of Use and form part of your agreement with us. If these Referral Terms conflict with the Terms of Use, these Referral Terms govern for the Program. By sharing a referral code, or by signing up with one, you agree to these Referral Terms.

1. How It Works

A coach shares their referral code or link. A new coach signs up with it and starts an annual plan, and gets $50 off. Once the new coach's 60-day money-back period has passed, the coach who shared the code gets a $100 digital gift card.

In these Referral Terms:

the Referrer is the coach who shares their code;
the Referred Coach is the new coach who signs up with it; and
the Referral Code is the Referrer's code, shown on their Referrals page, whether it is typed in at signup or used through the Referrer's referral link.

2. Who Can Refer

Any Instructor with a SwingMatch account that is active, and not suspended or deleted, can be a Referrer. You do not need to be on a paid plan. There is no limit on the number of coaches you can refer.

3. Who Can Be Referred

The Referred Coach must create a brand-new SwingMatch Instructor account and enter the Referral Code, or use the referral link, at signup.
A Referral Code cannot be added after signup. A referral is recorded once, and cannot be changed or transferred to another Referrer.
Existing SwingMatch accounts do not qualify, including a golfer account that later becomes an Instructor account.
Accounts created by SwingMatch, or created through an academy invitation, do not qualify.
You cannot refer yourself, or any other account you own or control.
Each Referred Coach can be referred only once.

4. Where the Program Is Available

The Program is open to Instructors in Canada and the United States. The Program is not available in the Province of Quebec, and is void wherever it is prohibited or restricted by law.

5. The Referred Coach's $50 Discount

The Referred Coach gets $50 off the first payment of their first annual plan, in the currency of that plan. The discount is applied automatically at checkout.
The first paid plan must be annual. If the Referred Coach's first paid plan is a monthly plan, the referral ends for both coaches permanently, even if the Referred Coach later switches to an annual plan. Using the free version of SwingMatch before starting an annual plan is fine.
The annual plan must start within one year of the date the Referred Coach signed up. After that, the referral lapses for both coaches.
The discount applies once. It cannot be combined with any other discount or promotional code, has no cash value, is not transferable, and does not apply to renewals or monthly plans.

6. The Referrer's $100 Reward

The Referrer earns the reward when the Referred Coach pays for an annual plan and keeps it through the 60-day period of our Money-Back Guarantee.
The reward is a $100 digital gift card, sent through a third-party gift card provider, in the currency set on the Referrer's SwingMatch account when the referral was recorded. If no currency was set, the reward is in Canadian dollars.
We send the reward after the 60-day period ends, to the Referrer's verified email address. Verify your email in the SwingMatch app so we can send it. Your account must be active, and not suspended or deleted, when the reward is sent.
Rewards are sent by our team, so please allow a reasonable amount of time after the 60-day period ends.
Rewards are never paid in cash and cannot be exchanged for cash or for a different gift card. We may substitute a gift card or other reward of equal value.
One reward is paid per Referred Coach. There is no limit on the number of rewards you can earn.
Unclaimed rewards lapse. If we cannot send a reward within 12 months after it becomes payable, for example because your email address has not been verified, the reward lapses.
Gift cards are subject to the provider's own terms. Once a gift card has been delivered, we are not responsible if it is lost, stolen or used without your permission.

7. When We May Void a Reward or Discount

We may void or withhold a reward if, during the 60-day period, the Referred Coach's annual plan is refunded, charged back, cancelled or switched to a monthly plan.

We may also void or withhold a reward, a discount, or both, and remove anyone from the Program, if we believe in good faith that:

an account was created to gain a reward or discount, or is a duplicate of another account;
there has been fraud, abuse or manipulation of the Program, including any arrangement between the Referrer and the Referred Coach to share or pass on a reward;
the Referrer has broken the sharing rules in Section 8; or
a reward has gone unclaimed for 12 months, as described in Section 6.

Our records of signups, subscriptions and referrals decide whether a referral qualifies.

8. Sharing Your Code

Sharing is the point of the Program. You may share your Referral Code or link anywhere, including in person, with people you know, on social media, on your website or newsletter, and on coupon or deal sites.

When you share your code, tell people that you get a reward if they subscribe. The share message in the SwingMatch app already does this.

You may not:

send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or messages that break anti-spam laws such as Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) or the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. You are responsible for following these laws in any message you send;
run paid advertising that uses the SwingMatch name, trademarks or brand, including bidding on "SwingMatch" as a search keyword;
present yourself as SwingMatch, or as speaking on SwingMatch's behalf;
offer cash, payments, kickbacks or other incentives to get someone to sign up; or
make false or misleading statements about SwingMatch or the Program.

If you break these rules, we may void your reward and remove you from the Program. Referrers are not employees, agents or representatives of SwingMatch.

9. Privacy

If you sign up with a Referral Code, the Referrer can see your name and whether you have subscribed, along with the status of their reward, on their Referrals page. The Referrer does not see your email address or payment details. Coaches who sign up with a code but never subscribe are not shown to the Referrer. By signing up with a Referral Code, you agree to this.

We use Program information to run the Program, prevent fraud and keep records, including for tax purposes. To deliver a reward, we share the Referrer's name and email address with our gift card provider. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

10. Taxes

Rewards may be taxable income. You are responsible for any taxes on rewards you receive. Where we or our gift card provider are required to collect tax information or issue tax forms, we may ask you for that information, and we may hold a reward until you provide it.

11. Changes and Ending the Program

We may change, suspend or end the Program at any time. We will post any change on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. If we end the Program, we will also notify coaches. Changes apply to referrals recorded after the updated date.

If we end the Program, no new referrals will be recorded, and discounts that have not yet been used will no longer apply. Rewards that are already pending, meaning the Referred Coach has already paid for an annual plan, will still be paid under these Referral Terms, unless they are voided under Section 7.

12. Referrals Made Before October 1, 2026

SwingMatch may, at its discretion, honour referrals made before October 1, 2026. If you believe you referred a coach before that date, contact us with the details.

13. General
